Overheads:
Small amounts of data transfered to sustain network connections, reducing the total throughput of a connection.

On-demand

During a live webcast, the stream can be archived on the encoder or by a distribution server. Once saved or transfered to the correct place, this file can then be ready for on-demand playback immeidately.
